Embroidery Hoop Thread Organizer

As you know, I've been working on getting my craft and sewing things organized. I love the idea of displaying your supplies instead of stuffing them into a box or drawer. I came across this tutorial for an embroidery hoop thread rack by Yellow Spool, and thought it would be perfect for my space.

There was just one thing I did differently from the original tutorial: I glued my dowel pieces to the inner hoop before attaching the outer hoop. I didn't have much luck wedging the pieces in between the 2 hoops. In the end, the screw to hold the outer hoop together was useless, so instead, I opted to use a bit of ribbon to keep it together. This project is fairly easy and the results are SO suiting to a crafty sewing space.
